The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on 25 May 2018 to protect your privacy and provide reassurance that any personal data is being used responsibly and held securely.
ROAR manages a datasheet of residents’ email addresses, home addresses and in some
cases telephone numbers. This information is used by ROAR only for the purpose of informing residents about the Estate’s activities, meetings, events, Estate security and messages from the 100 Club. This information is not processed or passed on to third parties for the purpose of sale, or marketing, promotions etc. The information is held on a personal computer and is password protected and subject to malware safeguards.
This personal data is held on the datasheet until you are no longer a ROAR member or until such time as you inform the Secretary (or in the case of the 100 Club, The Treasurer, or The Chair in the case of the Social Activities Group or the Co-ordinator in the case of Neighbourhood Watch) that it should be removed. At this point the information will be deleted and you will receive a message to that effect.
At any time you may request access to any personal data about you that ROAR holds. You can do this by sending a request to The ROAR Secretary (or Treasurer in the case of the 100 Club, or the Chair in the case of Social Activities or Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator) who will provide the relevant extract as soon as possible.
In order to receive ROAR news it is necessary for us to have your permission. If you have not previously provided this, or are a new resident and would like to receive ROAR News, please contact the Secretary (details below) at any time by email in order to be added to the mailing list.
